Defining the problem
Why do people resist wearing masks and even when they wear them frequently remove them?

Ans: The stale air exhaled with heat and moisture creates a suffocating atmosphere inside the mask. The reduced level of oxygen, and the higher temperature and humidity inside the mask makes it impossible to wear them for prolonged periods of time without discomfort.
Solution
A mask that has an active ventilation system that constantly pulls out stale air out of the mask and enables fresh air to enter the mask. This ensures the atmosphere inside the mask has fresh oxygen and it is at the optimal temperature and humidity. When this is done with proper filtration of the inlet and outlet air to protect everyone from viral infection, we succeed in creating a solution for professionals who need protection for the entire working day.
Design Process:
Autodesk Fusion 360 software was used to create a 3D digital model of the mask.
Step 1:
Design the basic shape of the mask with air inlets and fan ventilation

Mask Prototypes and Components:

Fabricating and testing the Micro USB charging circuit for the ventilator fan:

Field Testing:
The prototype BCool Mask was field tested to see if it met the performance characteristics it was designed to provide. The speed (RPM) of the fan was adjusted to provide the required suction power and operate with low noise.

The mask's performance was found to be adequate and the user was able to wear it for a prolong period without any discomfort.

Mass Production:
Mass production of this mask will be taken up by making plastic injection moulds for various components of the system. This will enable us to produce these masks in large quantities at a very affordable price.

Injection moulding of the components will be outsourced to vendors. The final assembly and testing of the finished product will be done by an in-house team.
